Volunteers

Foster Parents
Your job is to take care of the animal placed in your home. Most are frightened, need training, and a lot of TLC. We provide the food, vet care, and transportation to the adoption days if you don't care to or can't go. We are a no-kill rescue group, so we will keep an animal in our program until it is adopted. It may take 1 week or 5 months. We try to keep the animals in the same foster home for the well-being of the animal. Sometimes, home placement isn't working for a variety of reasons. If this is the case, then an alternative animal is placed in your home. Fosters always have the first change to adopt the animal they are caring for. It has happened!

Dog Handlers
You may schedule coming to adoption days as often as your schedule permits. You would be required to hold a dog during the adoption day, read the dogs paperwork, and talk to interested people about your dog. Of course, most dogs will need several potty breaks during the day and a quick walk or two to stretch out the dog's legs is always encouraged. Every volunteer is encouraged to interact with their dog through brushing, talking, petting, and just plain loving them up. We try to match up every volunteer with a dog they are comfortable with.

Animal Transporters
You may schedule times to transport animals to adoption days and to veterinarian appointments.

Donations
Donations of crates, kennels (all sizes), dog and cat food, dog and cat supplies (such as bowls, toys, collars, leashes, cat litter boxes and litter, brushes, and toys), money, and just about anything you would think a dog or cat would need can be dropped off during our adoption days or call us to make other arrangements.

Thank You!
