I adopted Pilgrim last December and changed his name to Jake. It didn’t take him long to learn that this is his forever home. When I adopted him he was still working on gaining weight. He now weighs 61 lbs. I had a trainer come to the house for 5 weeks so we could learn basic obedience. He caught on very quickly to everything. This spring I learned that he is a bird dog and loves to chase the birds and ducks that fly over the house. He discovered the swamp behind the house and brought his best friend the neighbor dog with him the last time he went swimming. We are currently working on correcting this. I think the solution will be to get him his own swimming pool with clean water. There is never a dull moment with Jake.
I feel so lucky to have him and I have RPAW to thank. Your hard work and time spent on finding forever homes for the pets like Jake is appreciated.
